BROOKSHIRE YOUNG WOMEN HISTORY 2017
January - We had a fireside, Carol Boley taught us how to make candy, helped at the food
bank and decorated homemade gifts for our Grandma’s.

February - We had a planning pizza party, visited with our widowed grandma’s and gave
them their homemade gift. We had a combined young men, young women talent show. And
we had ‘New Beginnings’ and met our new young women that will come in this year, Leila
Wihongi, Zaylie Newkirk and Katie Olsen.
March - Went ice-skating, watched Kaitlyn Parker’s concert. Made lunches for the homeless.
Had a Super Activity with combined wards. Watched Womens Conference.
April - Had an ‘Exercise class’, did water color painting. Played ‘Bingo’ with the residents at
the Bennion Care Center. And had a ‘Hair class’ taught by Ashley Ballou.
May - Learnt ‘Self Defense’, found out what colors look best on us. Learn’t about First Aid
and did some camp planning.
June - Completed some ‘Personal Progress’ goals. Went to ‘Girls Camp’, Mechele Morgan
was our Camp Director. Had ‘Youth Conference’ in Logan. Did some ‘Geneology’.
July - Celebrated the ‘Fourth of July’! Had a movie night at Debbie Worthington’s. Had fun
at ‘Snowbird’ with the Young men. Celebrated Pioneer Day!
August - We had the Ward Pool Party. We had our ‘Meet and Greet’ on Sunday and met
our new ward members and our new young women. Our new girls are Haylie Leonard, Darcy,
Kirsten and Camille Cloward, Emma Thackery, Jayda Masina.
September - We had fun at the Neighborhood party. Had a Stake Activity, at Hawaiian
Haystacks and did some Personal Progress. Went to Classic Skating and played Lazer
Tag with the young men.Did some geneology with Debbie Hacker. Olivia and Abbey Leonard
graduated from primary and joined us in Young Womens.
October - Had a fun activity with Riverview, watched ‘face to face’. Went on a corn maze
with young men. Painted Gourds/pumpkins.
November - Did a service project and made decorations for YWIE. Wiramina Wihongi
graduated from young womens recieving her YW medallion and an honor bee and Leila
graduated from Primary receiving her faith in god award and joined us in YWomens. Had
the best YWIE ‘Harry Potter’ theme ever,! Did some service at the Food Bank with Young
men. Celebrated Thanksgiving.
December - `Ward Christmas Party. Service Project. Handing out Bishops gift with the
Young men. Our Young Women Presidency is Linda Morgan President, Debbie Worthington
first counselor, CarolBoley second counselor and Candice Wihongi Secretary. Misty
Ferguson - camp director, Jenny Leonard and Heather Hatch - teachers.
